Theme Day: Empty

More from my home town. The Peterborough Lift Lock is the highest hydraulic lift in the world. The lift or basin on the left is full of boats and is going down, while the lift on the right is empty and going up.

In order to drive through the Lock, you have to wait for the tunnel to be empty as it is only one lane.

Happy Canada Day!

The lift locks are truly impressive. It's fun to watch boats go through.
