...said the Spider to the Fly. In this case, I believe it was a honey bee that met its demise upon a bed of dainty Queen Anne's Lace. Can anyone identify this beautiful spider?
I have finally identified this spider, despite the attempts of fellow bloggers. This is a Goldenrod Crab Spider which can actually change its color from white to yellow.

The technical name is: "Bostonian white spider!" Hope that helps! Kind regards from EAGAN daily photo
Well, you already know. They are on some but not all of my flowers here in Brookville, Ohio. Lets Make History.
A Blended-In camouflaged spider.
Wow!
Very nice macro.
My god, that is one scary photo. I've never seen such a spider; looks like something from a horror movie...
It's probably a "Bostonian white spider."
Nah, I just made that up after I read Leif's silly comment.
Please don't send that to Florida; we've got nasty biting big brown spiders...
This is one heck of a great photo, Antjas!
Scary photo and excellent macro!
A great macro photo it is.
Wow! What an amazing shot!!
I have never seen a spider like that before.. and caught eating a bee of all things..
Painter Dude, haven't seen you around lately. What have you been painting?
SO CRAZY! Makes me fear what might be crawling around my cabin. Yikes!
Chalk one up for the spider! (I prefer spiders to flies. LOL)
hi antjas! I have actually been at codman farm again and also these hay fields near the sudbury river and on sherman bridge ... and I actually had what I think was one of those spiders on me while I was painting the hay field!!!... it was a translucent green! 11 turkey vultures were keeping me company too...
That's a hell of a shot. Gorgeous. If it were mine I'd enter it in the Smithsonian Magazine contest, which I think you can find online.
woops... I don't know what that funny translucent-green spider was.. BUT it was not your goldenrod crab spider.. the one on me was much smaller..
anyways-- what a beautiful and amazing shot!
Painter dude - glad to see you survived the translucent green spider. I think I would have been more wary of the turkey vultures myself.
hahaha
nope nope.... not a good hayfield to siesta in...
