Hanscom Field


As seen from Lincoln, Hanscom Field and Hanscom Air Force Base in the town of Bedford. As bucolic as Lincoln and Concord are, the planes flying out of Hanscom make their presence known. The field and base have seen many incarnations over the years, but perhaps the major non-military claim to fame is that the Beatles landed here in 1964 when they performed at the Boston Garden. I don't know where from, but the name Hanscom Field was familiar to me...probably from some history book...

$5.50 for floor seats?? Sign me up! Oh how times have changed. Now we pay $200 to see the Jonas Brothers at the Boston Garden. Oy vey.
