"Those pies better be hot" yells out Steve Verrill at the Verrill Farm Pie Eating Contest as pies are being handed out to all the contestants. Verrill Farm pies are absolutely the best pies around.
Not the winners, but with two different techniques these two guys seemed to have had a great time.

What fun to watch a blueberry pie eating contest! Now I'm hungry for dessert and I haven't even had breakfast yet!
This is very nice post and the photos are incredible. We (here) see these contest only in movies and sometimes fail to grasp how much they are real and funny.
I'm sitting here grinning! What a great time...boy, those pies do look good, but I sure as heck would desecrate their sacredness by sticking my face in it...

I rather dump some ice cream on top and use a fork and savor every little bite!

Looks like fun for the kids. I will go out in the forest later today for some blueberries.
