Nathan Hosmer House

The plaque above the door reads "Nathan Hosmer - c1770". This house in Concord stood witness to the American Revolution which laid the groundwork for American Independence celebrated today.

A little known fact - Sudbury was granted the zip code "01776", the year of our independence, supposedly because Sudbury sent more volunteer militia to the battle in Concord than any other community.

Great image for the day and curious anecdote: you deserved this zip code!
Happy 4th of July from Tuscany!

It is wonderful to see this house still standing as a witness to the push for freedom.

I appreciate the info re: your militia.

Have a wonderful 4th!
