Into the Sunset

Yesterday was our final day in Ontario and we're back home in Massachusetts. I wanted to leave you with a pair of blue herons flying into the Canadian sunset. My dad's farm is home to a heron rookery (nesting grounds) and the sky abounds with these graceful birds.

This past week I was in constant awe of the open green fields, the colorful array of birds, the billowing cloud formations and the amazing sunsets.

Your 'parting shot' is excellent: the sunset is great, the flying away herons just a little touch of sadness.

My gosh, that's so beautiful - spectacular clouds & color. Well done to capture the birds at sunset. And both of them have their wings up - not always an easy thing to get.

I have to admit the area around Peterborough is LOVELY!
