Save Thoreau's Birthplace

"[I was] born July 12, 1817 in the Minott House, on the Virginia Road, where Father occupied Grandmother's thirds, carrying on the farm." - Henry David Thoreau

Obviously grandma's house is in need of repair. The Thoreau Farm Trust was set up to achieve this endeavor. Their fund raising goal was to raise $1,000,000 to repair and operate the house. I wonder what Henry would think of that.

Seems like an awful lot of money. I'm not sure he would think it was , "money well spent."
