On Guard

I came upon this group at the Old North Bridge in Concord. I believe them to be members of the National Guard. Whoever they were, they were standing at attention for the longest time, no one speaking, all very quiet. If you go to the National Guard link you will learn that they have been in existence for over 360 years. In fact, they were part of the militia that fought the British at the Old North Bridge back on April 19, 1775. So perhaps these guys were having a moment to consider the importance of what happened at the bridge and the importance of any missions they may be sent on.

Notice the fellow at the far right taking photos of the proceedings. He must have been quite a distraction to the others.

Antjas, I wonder what was going on exactly? Beautiful outdoor greenery! At ease, soldiers!

It's good to know Massachusetts still allows the military w/i its borders.

Just standing around waiting to be photographed. That's also a job!
