Sudbury, as a community, has been very excited to participate with 2 new homeowners in a Habitat for Humanity project.
For those of you not familiar with Habitat for Humanity, the following is their mission statement: "Habitat for Humanity - Metro West/Greater Worcester's mission is to create decent homes in good communities by working in continuing partnership with those in need who are committed and able to become homeowners. We believe that the greatest means to assist families is in providing a home ownership opportunity. Simple, affordable housing can have a profound impact on stabilizing a family and providing long-term security. The Habitat program is one of self-empowerment: we offer families A Hand Up, Not a Handout."
This duplex sits very near to Babe Ruth's old home.

That should make some people very happy. A wonderful organization.
I am a bit ashamed that I run to the Babe Ruth post as soon as I saw the link. The curse was well known to me and I was very happy whet it was lifted at last!
Habitat is a great program. Kudos to the folks in your community!
Most worthy.
