Inside the Wayside Inn

Perhaps it was this room that inspired Henry Wadsworth Longfellow to write Tales of a Wayside Inn after he visited it in 1862. It was here, at perhaps America's oldest hostelry, that Longfellow set his characters in his retelling of the famous ride of Paul Revere.

Nice series of photos on the Wayside Inn. I am ashamed to admit that although I have traveled past the Inn many times I have never taken the time to visit. I will make it a point to visit soon.
