Driving through Concord this past weekend, I noticed that orientation was in full swing at Concord Academy. Concord Academy, established in 1922, is a college prep school, grades 9-12, with both boarders and day students. It is one of at least 4 private schools in Concord which I am aware of. Some famous alumni include Caroline Kennedy, Queen Noor of Jordan and author Sebastian Junger.

Nice sign of a prestigious school.
It is a nice sign. I looked up the school to figure out what kind of lizard that was "But the chameleon—CA’s symbol of adaptability—has not (changed)." Kind of fun to see that it started out as an all-girls school that became co-ed. The grounds look gorgeous.
Thanks for digging up all that information Tash. I guess that I take it so for granted that I didn't even think about it's origins or the meaning of that adorable golden chameleon. By the way, gold signs are de rigueur in this part of NE if you want to make yourself look important.
