Yellow brings to mind "power" as in the yellow power tie of the Reagan era, or "caution" as in traffic signs and police tape. One candidate in this week's election for LSRHS School Committee chose a very bright yellow for his sign, making him stand out from the red, white and blue of the others. What was he trying to convey with his choice of color? In the end, Marshall and Collins of the blue and white signs handily won.
I think the elderly gentleman is probably telling them he will vote for anyone who will not increase his already sky high taxes.

Excellent choice!
Definitely odd-person-out. Good on him for wanting to stand out from the crowd!

Very good shot of quite funny scene. I found interesting your post too.
There's one in every crowd.
I so wanted the yellow sign man to win! Love this.
Yellow does have a habit of standing out from other colors.
He'd get my vote! If anyone is clever enough to stand out from the crowd, they deserve to win. (Unless they are annoying - we had some really annoying ads at the last election...) - Has the elderly gntlman heard of Prop 13?
but - you get my vote for the most original TD post. Well done.
Really good choice of photo! I love the candid shot and your observations!
