Orchard House

This is Orchard House, the childhood home of Louisa May Alcott and the setting of her most famous novel, Little Women. The house is now a museum open to the public with many interesting activities. We have visited it both with the Girl Scouts and as a setting for a wonderful little girl's birthday party. You can just imagine the young Alcotts frolicking through the house and its lopsided floors. It seems in need of a new coat of paint.

I saw it just a few years ago and it did look much better.

You need a new label: "little girls' birthday parties." It would apply to today and yesterday! Think about it. Oh and I like the color of the door against the brown house! And the rule of thirds.

I can not believe my eyes...!
Just yesterday, I bought Little Women as an Easter present for an 9year old, having a lot of second thoughts whether it would be a bit old fashioned for her... But I did, the sweet memories and my love for the book, at the end beat my doubts!!!
And since some moments ago, I had no idea where the location would be!
Thank you very much for the information, I was really touched!

Lemon, I think Little Women will stand the test of time. Once she is done with the book, perhaps you can watch the movie of the same name which was made in the last 10 years. I will have to take a better picture when it's been repainted.
