Old North Bridge

In April of 1775, the course of history changed in America as the Minutemen fought back the British over the Old North Bridge.

I remember sanding there thinking that all of America started here. Somehow, I thought it should be bigger.

It is amazing what a small band of ragtag farmers were able to do.
I also thought that Plymouth Rock was much larger!

Absolutely lovely photograph! And, historically significant for the United States...you can't see it, but there's blood in that water!

I'm jumping up & down in my seat, going - "Been there, been there!" Since it was in October (10-11-92 to be exact!) the trees were decked in beautiful yellows & reds (I just pulled out the old photo album of that trip - my memory is not that good). Another favorite sight (maybe because it is so photogenic) was the Hartwell Tavern. thx for the great post.
PS - I'll check out the movie.
