Sherman's Bridge is a bumpity wooden bridge that crosses the Sudbury River between Sudbury and Wayland. Back in the 1600s, the two towns were one and known as the Sudbury Plantation.
Anyway, I don't mean for this post to be a history lesson. I want you to notice how the monachrome grey and white of a few weeks ago has changed to brown of the barren trees and the deep blue of the sky and water. What is amazing is that in a matter of a couple of weeks, it will change again. This time to vibrant greens.

The colors and some of the scenery could be duplicated near where I live. Always interesting to see these similarities around the world.
good shot and I liked your blue heron yesterday. herons are such magnificent and delicate creatures. I am really glad you enjoyed the Crazy 88 butterfly! It truly was real and free in the wild.
Such a perfect blue it almost blinds me!
One of these days the greens will come through over there. Down here in South Africa fall is well on its way and winter is starting to tap on the door.
Very pretty...and I'll bet you're anxious to have it all green again!
