Teeing up for a Birdie

A few days ago, several colleagues from the Sudbury schools and I played in a charity golf tournament. It was a perfect fall afternoon for golf. We played at Wayland Country Club which is directly east of Sudbury across the wide Sudbury River. Hundreds of years ago, it was part of Sudbury.

Here my friend is teeing up for her birdie shot. I managed to hit the tree on the right and settled for a five on a par three. Regardless, it was a wonderful outing.

Oh, boy. It's been so long since I've played golf...when I first retired I played almost every day...this makes me want to get back on the course - what a gorgeous place and a gorgeous day.

P.S. I've taken a lot of fives on par threes. It ain't hard at all!

Have a fun weekend!

For some reason the photo is not loading up so I can't see the pefect fall day and can't comment on the picture. But still let me comment. I know someone who can hit the same tree on the right on 3 consecutive shots - so hitting it just once is no big deal.
