Where would you like to picnic while listening to James Taylor and John Williams at Tanglewood? On the lawn with a "big" view of the Berkshires? or....

In the shade of a "big" tree in a "big" crowd? or...

In the front row of the covered Shed, no food allowed. (I was able to get this shot during his 3rd encore after a lot of people left because they thought he was done.) I shouldn't date myself, but I first saw James Taylor some 30 years ago at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. Back row seats.

Regrettably, I saw him long before you did.
I am dating myself when I admit to seeing him perform on the Vineyard before his first hit. My wife who grew up on the Vineyard has even earlier memories when he had infamous pet pig. Good to see him still performing and drawing listeners.
I never saw him, but could have been thirty years ago: by chance I was in the States...
DAG and BSq. - you're not dating yourselves, you're dating Sweet Baby James. After all, your hippy parents could have dragged you to the concert as toddlers.
VG - I think I remember seeing you!
What great fun! And what a crowd! Just remember the next time he appears, you've got a friend!
