Ancient Mariners of Connecticut

The Drummers

The Ancient Mariners of Connecticut, Fifes, Drums and Chanteymen .
This group has been in existence for 50 years. Readily distinguished by their red and white stripes.

The Fifers

The Drum Major
and His Brother....

The Chanteyman
I told this chap that he was wearing a ladies hat. He said it kept his head cool.
I have to say this group was having more fun than anyone else.

Oh good- something I can comment on! This group often marches in the Chatham (MA) 4th of July parade, and they always march the whole way (over 5 miles)BAREFOOT, continaully interacting with crowds. They're usually the hit of the parade.

They certainly were the friendliest bunch. They were wearing shoes this day however, because I told the last guy that they looked like leprechaun shoes with a big buckle.
