I admit it's getting a little sketchy that now I keep seeing Dave with his paints, easel and roll of paper towel around every corner and open field in Sudbury, Lincoln and Concord. He has progressed from being the Painter, then David and now Dave. Last time I saw him I gave him the address for Sudbury Daily Photo and he obviously visited as the first thing he said when he saw me was, "This is your tree, and I've painted it at least 15 times." I'd like to think I was his muse for this painting.
Today he wished he had a bigger canvas because he felt he didn't have enough room to give the grand old tree justice. I wish you could see the picture close up, the water and fields are wonderful. He loved all your comments and believes that CDP stands for Compulsive Daily Photo. I guess he's not far from the truth.

I added the tractor..and the 2 buildings on the far side of the field .. I also added the yellow sign.. the yellow of the sign seemed to put all the other colors in their place... sometimes I like adding detail..sometimes not..its a fickle thing..
I definitely am going back to THE tree in a bigger format... I think I need more room in height so I can really describe the structure of this grand oak better.. plus also much more of panoramic view... maybe 24x48.. this would take a few sessions... but I figure this oak has taken over 100 years to be this grand.. least I can do is spend the time to worship it properly!!
I think this is a tree and a site that will keep on giving!
Your photography is great!! All sorts of wonderful shots.. from nature studies of flowers to wonderful views and also historic sights.. nice..Trillium with their cast shadows was fine..

Compulsive - why no, except I haven't posted yet today, & I won't have time 'till so much later, and I have never missed a day (except 6 months ago when I clicked publish 1 min after midnight and had to backdate 'cuz skipping a day is just wrong)... :|
