The Boston Scottish Fiddle Club was playing under a tent in a field by the Old North Bridge in Concord. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Featuring Sudbury, Massachusetts and its neighboring towns located west of Boston, distinctly different but steeped in a common history.

He literally looks like he is making love to his violin! Transported by music. What a wonderful post.
What a superb photo. He is certainly "lost" in the music!
Can't imagine there is a bad way to spend an afternoon there this time of year.
He looks like he is having a good time playing that fiddle.
Also, to answer your question about the Korean Lilac bush...This is not a dwarf variety. I think I have seen some smaller ones on commercial lots and when we were taking our son back to the airport I noticed they had a row of them along the street. Different bushes in different sections. Anyway, they were considerably smaller so I am guess they were the dwarf variety. This one you are looking at is as tall as the board fence and the fence boards are 6 feet tall.

What a nice photograph! The bearded musician in the back makes a good contrast. The only slight, tiny distraction, if I may say so, is the person directly behind the fellow in reverie.
P.S.: I've tagged you. I hope you'll forgive me. Info @ http://versaillesdailyphoto.blogspot.com/2009/05/ok.html
Z, I can see your point about the other musician, however, as a math tutor, having just taught a unit on geometry, I found the perfectly parallel bows pleasing.
Thanks for all your comments. This picture was quite accidental as I was trying to focus on the snowy haired man with the accordian but instead captured this moment of bliss.
What a fine photo! I'm so glad that you got it to share with us.
Accidental perfect geometry happens. This is a great image, intended or not.
This is lovely. I'm surprised no one's mentioned this, but I love that you can tell there was a slight breeze. It makes it more magical.
