Found off the beaten path of the "Old Calf Pasture" in Concord. Not an alien, but part of the 8th annual RiverFest celebrating the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers which run through our communities. The River Stewardship Council seeks to preserve and protect the rivers and watershed. The Concord River can be seen behind the sculpture.
"Who hears the rippling of the rivers will not utterly despair of anything." Thoreau

Looks like it could have crawled out of the river and is about to scurry onto that unbeaten path! How did you get such nice lighting on what must have been a rather dark clearing? Nice camera manipulation!
Anon - it was due to my good friend Otto.

That is sooo funny! Some people have truly great imaginations.
Beautiful place, Antjas!
Painter Dude - back at the old tree today, eh?
Now that would be something to come across suddenly on a leisurely walk. ;-)

still mulling over different compositions for a bigger painting..
Great imagination at work with simple things and a very good occasion for a nice photo.
