I believe this building used to be Lincoln's old Town Hall, built in the 1840s. It was renamed after George Bemis who contributed heavily to it. Today it has a variety of uses including concert hall. I remember one snowy winter's day listening to a string quartet as I watched huge snow flakes falling outside those grand palladian windows. It was magical.

It is a bit magical even from the outside from this angle.
Always loved the cemeteries in your area, especially Sleepy Hollow. Walked thru this one many a time.
Truly a beautiful place. It must be, people are dying to get in! ;-)
Oh... I know that beautiful building!! Right near the library.. I have painted it in my mind many times.. maybe this beautiful shot will inspire me to do it..
Nice composition and angle!!
thanks!
Love the low angle of this shot. & the visual of listening to a concert with snowfall - magic indeed.
Hey Painter Dude, maybe this is the means by which we give each other ideas of what to paint or photograph in the area. And it wouldn't be considered "stalking."
Haha!! no... I don't mind being your asparagus....
