Theme Day: Waiting

These magnolia buds don fuzzy winter jackets to keep out winter's harsh cold while they patiently wait for spring's warm sunlight to unfold their delicate petals.

That's amazing. A beautiful photo! But we have magnolia trees and I've never seen anything like this. Oh, yeah, ours bloom year round. In fact, they're blooming right now.

Blooming magnolias we all 'em. :-)

Jacob, I am aware of those southern magnolias for we had one in our yard in California and it seemed to always be dropping leaves. These are tulip magnolias and the flowers bloom before the leaves come out.

Thanks! I learn something on CDP every single day. Although I did figure your magnolias had to be a different breed of cat, so to speak.
