Currier & Ives

This morning, Sudbury awoke to find itself a character in a Currier & Ives painting.
I stumbled upon this man in his fedora, pausing for a moments rest from shoveling the walk to take in this spectacular morning.

I saw the thumbnail in the portal and even there I felt like I was looking through a window to the past. Your title perfectly describes my feeling. Lovely, lovely scene!

Now it does look like Christmas! How many people know about the Currier & Ives reference?

What a perfect New England winter scene. This works on all levels, Antjas! Frame it and hang it! This really is a picture postcard! Fantastic work!

That is proof of winter. He should rest a bit, because we don't want any heart attacks.
