MCI-Concord

Did I ever mention that amidst the history and bucolic setting of Concord, lies a medium security prison? Yes, MCI-Concord, opened in 1878, is the oldest running state prison for men in Massachusetts. Notable among its inmates is Malcolm X who was a guest for 15 months in 1947 and 1948.

I don't remember that at all.

This place does not look at all friendly. In fact, it looks cold and uninviting. Maybe I'll avoid it. If I behave, that is. Which is always a concern of certain people, which shall remain unnamed. ;-))

Even the prisons are historic there! Fascinating. Did they eye you with suspicion when you were shooting this?
