View from Bunker Hill Monument

I visited Charlestown with a friend who grew up there. Charlestown is part of Boston, a thickly settled community, bursting at the seams with history, squeezed into one square mile. We climbed the 294 steps to the top of the Bunker Hill Monument and were treated to magnificent views of Boston. In this shot you can see the TD Garden on the left, home of the Celtics and the Bruins. In the center is the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge. Beyond the Garden, you can see the golden dome of the State House.
The picture is not too clear because it was taken through some thick and dirty plexiglass.

I wonder what Old Paul would say if he could see it now?

He would say, "Where did all that land come from?", as a lot of what you see used to be water.

I think it's a great shot. I've never seen the bridge before, but I haven't been in Boston since 1976...it's magnificent!

A very good image, this is a really beautiful view and I like that kind of bridge.

NIce view. A few of my favorite Swedish hockey players used to play there. Thomas Gradin, Mikael Nylander and P.J Axelsson.

Steffe, growing up in Canada, being a staunch Montreal Canadiens fan, I actually broke off friendships with Boston fans. To think, I now live here and love it!
