Needless to say, this is not Sudbury where we have one acre zoning. This is Charlestown which, because of its proximity to downtown Boston, is being gentrified and the Irish population is dwindling. However, when I went there with my friend Joan, we unexpectedly ran into three of her relatives and a lady who recognized her from high school. Nothing like that old home town feel. (I think the green house in the middle was where she grew up.) By the way, the locals call themselves Townies.

Such a variety of shapes and colors in not much space. This view is amazing, I hope you could post some more...
Doll's houses! Wonderful!
VP - Glad to have you back. Guess the big city has more appeal than suburbia. I have a few more shots from atop the monument for you.
Lots of different houses here. I like all the colors.
I've heard the name, "Townies," before. And this looks what I'd expect an old section of Boston to look like; fascinating! I can see what you mean by "gentrified." They put on a coat of paint and double the price?
Have a great weekend.
It is really a great photo - add it to my list of top 10 of your photos. We are next to each other on the CDP portal today. I thought it was a painting or a quilt.
Fine image! I love the colorful layering!
